Presented by Prof. Andrew Christensen and Sabrina Nesselrodt '13L, Lexis Account Manager (sabrina.chester@lexisnexis.com)
No matter your job this summer, or the practice area or employment type that you’re interested in entering, being aware of the news and developments that impact the legal landscape is always important. Legal newspapers like Virginia Lawyers Weekly and leading legal news platforms Law.com and Law360 are often where professionals turn for news in their jurisdiction or practice area. Prof. Christensen introduces several such resources in a 15-minute presentation.
Be sure to bookmark the W&L Law Library Databases and Online Resources page for quick access to the range of platforms available to you this summer and throughout law school.
Sabrina Nesselrodt also presents the new Lexis+ Protégé AI Assistant, judicial analytics and Context, and Practical Guidance materials to help lawyers find their way efficiently through research and drafting projects.
All law students enjoy full and uninterrupted use of their Lexis accounts during the summer, without restrictions from Lexis. Reminder: Always check with your supervisor before using your academic database accounts on work projects this summer. Although it may be permissible by the vendor’s rules, your employer may prefer that you use other resources.
