The following instructions on using the library's Primo database will help you find books about your city -- print and/or online -- available at W&L.

To discover the books from W&L libraries that should be relevant for your SOAN 266 research, 

• First, click on the following link: history OR politic* OR social OR guide* OR neighborhood* OR race OR ethnic* OR urban OR development OR planning OR housing OR segregation OR migra* OR industr* OR demograph* OR population

This will generate a list of over 300,000 books which feature at least one of the above terms. 

• Next, you should insert the name of your city in the next Search line, above the search results.  If your city's name is multiple words, place them within quotation marks.  Example:  "san francisco"
• Use the "Any field" drop-down menu to the left of your city name to change that label to "Subject."   Thus, the search box should look like this:

• Then click "Search."

The results of this search will be a chronologically-arranged list of print and/or online books available at W&L.
