Assignment Summary

POLITICS 370: Thomas Jefferson: Man, Myth, and America

 The students will be drawing from primary historical resources and academic journals, as well as books, to write a 5,000 word research paper on a topic of their choosing pertaining to Thomas Jefferson. These papers are to look in depth at some aspect of Thomas Jefferson’s life and legacy, understand it from an historiographical perspective, and then relate it to contemporary politics.
