Possible Research Areas

As of mid-January, likely areas of student research include:

  • ethnocentric western views of the treatment of women in non-western societies
  • Native American perceptions of land and land rights in the American legal system
  • structural barriers to biomedical treatment of malaria (or other diseases) in sub-Saharan Africa
  • current evolution/bio anthropology debates
  • epigenetics, eugenics
  • health, healing, and community in the Andes (relationships between social connections and sense of wellbeing)
  • barriers to student accessing mental health counseling
