Based on the Legal Research Certification program held at W&L Law on April 11, 2015, this guide identifies strategies and resources for conducting efficient, cost-effective legal research. It is intended to help prepare students for the legal workplace.

Summer Access to Commercial Databases

WestlawNext: Limited Summer Access
By default, only 40 hours of access per month in June and July, limited to educational use only (i.e., not for non-school employment). Extension of full access over the summer is possible for certain types of educational and unpaid work. The range of additional databases available to W&L students for legal research can be found on the Law Library website at http://www.law.wlu.edu/onlineresources. Frequently used resources include HeinOnline, ProQuest, CCH IntelliConnect, and Law360. W&L log-in and password are required off campus.
